Guest guest
today, i learned that my meld score has gone from 16 to 13. i still will work diligently to get a t/p center that will help me survive, of course, but i feel like some of the time pressure's have been given a little extra time to reach my goals. i also will call the lahey t/p center to confirm if they feel 13 is correct, as this news came from my hepatologist in maine. i trust him in his abilites to understand the meld system, but i still wanna double check to be sure. i also understand, my next blood tests, due in 3 months can be higher than 16. as far as i know, there's no way to tell, except with blood tests. i think quality of life should count for something, too. i haven't done my own comparison to my labs from 3 months ago, and now, but i shall as soon as i can. for now, i'll just bask in the lowered score a bit.......... beverly my heart is with the sea, and i shall dwell by the grey shore til the last ship sails......J.R.
