Guest guest
Hi,A paper bag (tightly folded on top)+ 1 good apple = ripe bananas! Apples give off ethylene gas which aids to ripen fruit. Good luckAngelika -
Guest guest
HI. I do have an apple in the house, but no paper bags. I have them in sealed ziplock bags. Since last night. THEY ARE STILL GREEN. oh woe is me. If I go out and buy paper bags, will that help? Or is it too late? Melody > > > Hi,A paper bag (tightly folded on top)+ 1 good apple = ripe bananas! Guest guest
It is not too late. Don't any of your neighbors have a brown grocery bag? Do they all only do plastic? Guest guest
I spoke with my mother today who said that if they are left in enclosed plastic the bananas will sweat and rot; not ripen and this goes for any fruit or veggie. The key is a brown paper bag. If you believe in yourself..you've got it made baby!
