Guest guest
WOW!!!! That is great EW! I love a sprout salad, but my husband still wants lettuce etc. He wants lettuce on a sandwich. Maybe there is hope for him yet. On Tue, Nov 29, 2011 at 1:03 AM, Ernest Willingham wrote: > Hey, > I've got proof that miracles still happen. Guest guest
This is a testament to your GOOD SPROUTING METHODS. She must have loved the taste or she wouldn't be going over to them and snipping them. How cool!!! I put sprouts on my hubby's sandwiches and now, I make him a sprout salad before dinner and I add my own asian dressing. He LOVES this. I have 7 round green trays sprouting right now. I will do this every week. It leaves me a good number of sprouts, I don't run out of them and I can even share them with my husband's doctor once a week. My husband goes to the chiropractor who shares office space with our primary doctor (who is a bodybuilder and loves my sprouts). So either on Tuesday or Thursday, I send my husband in with a big bag of sprouts and his doctor goes " Hey!!! " And when I harvest the 7 trays, I just put up new sprouts to soak. Works like a charm. My wife has not eaten sprouts until the last two years, when I ordered the French Garden mix from sprout people. Then last year, I tried Mother's Mix. Now I see her snip sunflower sprouts out of the kitchen window and putting them on her sandwiches. But to say she would rather have them: WOW! Guest guest
Hi. Sometimes I put spring mix in a salad bowl to which I add a bunch of my sprouts. Then I top it with shredded carrots, and cut up cherry tomatoes. Since my husband likes asian ginger dressing, which I make from scratch. Well, he is now EATING SPROUTS EVERY DAY. Thank god. Guest guest
Try this: 'accidentally' run out of lettuce, so you can only offer sprouts on the sandwich My boyfriend loves sprouts, but used to want lettuce as well, insisting that's how his Nana made them... then one day I was out of lettuce, and now he's totally fine eating it just with the sprouts. Hehe. > > > Hey, > > I've got proof that miracles still happen. Guest guest
Tried that. He just ate peanut butter on a sandwich and refused to eat a sprout salad. > Try this: 'accidentally' run out of lettuce, so you can only offer sprouts > on the sandwich > My boyfriend loves sprouts, but used to want lettuce as well, insisting > that's how his Nana made them... then one day I was out of lettuce, and now > he's totally fine eating it just with the sprouts. Guest guest
Hi. Go to this website http://www.food.com/recipe/makoto-style-japanese-salad-dressing-60315 I copied the recipe but didn't have ginger root and I don't use splenda. So I used a dash of sugar (this is for my husband not for me) and I used ground ginger. The rest of the recipe I followed. I did taste it and I just served him a sprout salad and he LOVES it. So ginger away, my dear. lol Melody
