Guest guest
I don't saute the delicate sprouts, just add them to my salads or green smoothies. They have a bit of a smell, just warning you, like broccoli sprouts. Whatever is healthy in the mature kale, you get multiples of that in the sprout. I mix the regular and the red together, lovely addition to my meals > > Okay, here's what I've been doing. I love my greens. Guest guest
Ah, so the next time I am ready to purchase another batch of sprouts, I shall be sure to get the kale. And you purchase both the green kale seeds and the red one's?? Mind if I ask where you get it? Thanks much Melody > > > > Okay, here's what I've been doing. I love my greens. Guest guest
Thanks, now I know where to purchase the kale. Can't wait. It's so hard to get around here and the thought that I can have it whenever I want, well, I'm heading there right now. Melody > > > > > > > > Okay, here's what I've been doing. I love my greens. Guest guest
Hey Mel,, You hadn't posted for a couple of days. I thought maybe you were among those without power in the Northeast. ew Re: Need opinion on Kale Sprouts Thanks, now I know where to purchase the kale. Can't wait. Guest guest
Nah, I got lucky. WE did not have any heat until yesterday. And the boiler wouldn't stay on. The landlord had to call a private company because the people they had the contract with, well they never showed up. It seems that the northeast was hit so bad, they can't keep up with the demands of people's boilers having problems. But when the men came yesterday I plied them with my home-made coffee cake and they opened my front door and shouted to the other guys " Hey, she made coffee cake " . So suffice it to say, my heat is on, they ate coffee cake and all is well. And I have another question about the kale before I buy it. I saute my regular kale in the pan with garlic and oil and it's great. I'm wondering, can I do the same with the sprouted kale? Or do you have to eat it like I eat the other brassicas?? in my salad? I'm not worried about losing raw enzymes because I get plenty from my other brassicas. But if I can take a bunch of kale sprouts, saute them in garlic and oil, and throw in some bean sprouts that I grew, NOW THAT WOULD BE GREAT. Let me know if I can do this. Now I know I can do this, but I want to know what you think it would taste like. I don't know if there would be a difference between the kale you buy in the store, and the sprouted kale. Thanks much Melody > > > > > > > > > > Okay, here's what I've been doing. I love my greens.
