  • 5 weeks later...

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking for a while because my son and his wife were here

visiting for 5 days and haven't had time to post. I don't know if I

mentioned this but this is the first time I've seen my son since I

gave him up for adoption 30 years ago! He has been searching for me

for 6 years and finally found me a month ago. We had our reunion

last week and it was wonderful. I'm so happy with him, my daughter

in law and my THREE GRANDCHILDREN!

Anyway, I'm back doing my Taebo too. I didn't do anything for a

while because we were getting new carpet and my tapes and vcr were

put away. But, I'm ready. I'm going to Pennsylvania in October to

meet my grandchildren for the first time and I was to look good! I'm

going to try to do taebo 5 times a week. I'll let you know how I do.

Deb

Deb, I just got your post. I am so glad that your reunion went so

well. Don't sweat about missing taebo for a week. You have a lot of

incentive to get back into it. Enjoy your new family.

Deb,

I'm so glad to hear that your reunion with your son went so well!

That must have been such an emotional meeting and I'm sure it has

filled a part of you that has probably been missing for along

time :)

I'm Back

Hello everyone .... I'm back.

We just got back from a trip to England/Ireland on the 8th of October. Was gone for 3 weeks and visited the relatives and was kept busy with them and sightseeing. It was great to see Buckingham Palace, Westminister Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Piccadily Circus, Leister Square, etc. We also saw a football (soccer) match. Had fish & chips on many occassions as you can't go there without having fish & chips! It was good too!

Ireland was beautiful too with the lush green rolling hills, it was breathtaking. We went to Belfast, Donegal, Giant's Causeway (lots of rocks eroded by lava and left looking like stepping stones almost).

It was a great trip indeed. I must say that my arthritis behaved it's self thoroughout the whole trip and I was able to really enjoy it. Funny though, now that I'm home, I'm beginning to feel a bit sore.

I went to see my Rheumy a couple days ago and he has decided to switch me from the Enbrel to Humira and Methotrexate and folic acid. I apologize if this question was asked but how much MTX do you take, for those on humira). My dose is 3 tablets (2.5mg each) and folic acid is 5.0mg once a week.

I came back to a very sick cat. Although the neighbour was looking after her and feeding her there wasn't much they could do. But when we returned we found our cat's eye area to be filled with puss like a ball filling up the socket and outside of the eye, turned out it was the actual eye and it had burst. Neighbour said that her eye just began looking this way the last week of our trip. We rushed her to the vets and he said that it was a tumor in behind the eye and a large one at that. He also found a large lesion in her mouth that he removed so we are just waiting to get the results back to see if it is cancerous or not. I pray she will be okay. I know she will be funny looking with just one eye and that side of the face caved in from taking out the lesion but I don't care I just want her back so I can give her all the love and attention she needs.

Well must go but wanted to fill you in as to why I haven't been on line since my return.

Take care,

Marilyn

Hi there Marilyn,

Your trip sounds like it was a blast! I am so very glad you were able

to go, it sounds like you put as much into your itinerary as you could.

We did miss your " sweet spirit " so it is good to have you back! Louise.
