Guest guest
Hi, I just came on the computer now and I'm reading all the postings. I have a question about cocoa. Exactly what kind do I buy. I have never seen a container of cocoa. In the baking aisle they have baking chocolate, and coconut flakes and Nestles chocolate drink. Exactly what kind of cocoa am I buying when I buy it to put in the pudding. and does it contain sugar? Can't use it then. Thanks very much Melody > > n, > Oh YES, I have to try balsamic vinegar, more fun experimenting~~~!!! > > Melody, > here is a random recipe I grabbed online. I think you just need more chia or less liquid... > > chia pudding > 2 tablespoons chia seeds > 1/2 cup non-dairy milk (soy, almond, hemp, rice, etc) > 1/2 tablespoon cocoa > 1/4 cup water > 1/2 tablespoon Sweetener to taste (agave, maple syrup, brown rice syrup, etc) > > Directions: Mix chia, water, and milk together and stir for about 1 minute or two. Next add in the carob or cocoa (optional) and sweetener to taste. Stir for another minute and then pop it into the fridge for about 10-15 minutes. Remove from fridge and stir for another 20-30 seconds. Now enjoy your delicious, energizing, and antioxidant packed chia pudding! You can heat it up in the microwave too. Yields about 3/4 cup. >
Guest guest
In use raw cocoa- cacao It is unsweetened. I don't know about the conventional cocoa- maybe too bitter, but maybe not n Dr. Rollings NJ Licensed Psychologist #4686 www.DrnRollings.com Sent from my iPad > Hi, I just came on the computer now and I'm reading all the postings. Guest guest
OK, I did a delish 2 frozen bananas (or equiv in frozen fruit)_ 2 cups soymilk (next time I'm going to play with almond milk) 1/3 cup of chia seeds Pinch of allspice, bit of vanilla (vary spices based on fruit) Sweetener of choice about what you'd use for 1 cup of coffee Mix all but fruit in 4 cup container and put in fridge for 30 minutes Once the chia has done its thing, blend it with the frozen fruit. Guest guest
Hi. I just had a small portion of the Chia Pudding. It was absolutely wonderful. Guest guest
I am trying to keep myself out of the kitchen and away from the chia. Lol I have the habit (probably leftover from my anorexia days), of getting into food ruts. Difference is that nowadays these are very healthy ruts! I just took a shot of the garlic vinegar tincture-I hear those broccoli sprouts calling-they are so good dipped in the tincture! happy weekend! n Dr. Rollings NJ Licensed Psychologist #4686 www.DrnRollings.com Sent from my iPad > Yesterday, my noon and evening meals were chia pudding. Guest guest
n, One quick question on the Chia Seeds. I know I can ground them and add them to yogurt, smoothies, etc. But BEFORE I make the pudding, can I grind them in my grinder, and THEN make the pudding? Will they still gel and come out as pudding? I can't believe the difference after 24 hours in my fridge. It's as thick as molasses. Thanks much, and have a nice weekend. Today Alan is 64 years old. I asked him if he wanted a birthday dinner out at our favorite Japanese but he was in a quiet mood so we just stayed home. Now that Father's day and his birthday is over, we can settle back to eating my pudding and my sprouts. I sneak them into him every day. lol melody > > > > > >> > OK, I did a delish > > >> > > > >> > 2 frozen bananas (or equiv in frozen fruit)_ > > >> > 2 cups soymilk (next time I'm going to play with almond milk) > > >> > 1/3 cup of chia seeds > > >> > Pinch of allspice, bit of vanilla (vary spices based on fruit) > > >> > Sweetener of choice about what you'd use for 1 cup of coffee > > >> > > > >> > Mix all but fruit in 4 cup container and put in fridge for 30 minutes > > >> > > > >> > Once the chia has done its thing, blend it with the frozen fruit. > > >> > > > >> > OMG, bliss. > > >> > > > >> >

Guest guest
Well, we only go when it's an occasion or a celebration. And yes indeed, I eat Shrimp Tempura. Not all the time because it's FATTENING. But when I order a Bento Box, I get a sampling of everything. My favorite is the California Roll, or the Philadelphia Roll and I recently tried the Salmon Avocado roll. Oh my god, that was delicious. I usually order the Chicken Teriyaki Bento box or the Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box. Divine!! lol Melody > > > > Here's a big Texas HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Alan. My husband was 64 this year > > also.
