Thanks for the compliments Mel. You are looking pretty darn good

yourself. I do feel good at the moment, although I shovelled way too

much food in over the weekend, again, and I should not have made

cookies - they are just sitting in my fridge tempting me and boy do

they go down easily. I'm heading for more protein in a mo to sustain

me, some nice pate (had to buy two lots this weekend - the first was

foul but Scooter has been enjoying it). My weekends have been

difficult - too much time on my hands to eat and I've totally blocked

out of my mind to eat " when I'm hungry " - the old piggy habits have

just crept back in. You would think as mature woman that we wouldn't

have to continually remind ourselves like we are children of the

general rules of banded life. The worry of failing with the band has

left me now and I am more relaxed, but perhaps I need to put some

worry back in to kick start things again.

I do agree that you and I have had a change in our outlook with this

and that slowly slowly we will succeed. We are just reluctant to

make the changes and that is partially why I rely on the band so much

for portion control because I am still firmly of the mind that this

will do it for me. As soon as I put " diet " back into my vocabulary I

will rebell and spinout into sabotage mode. I actually believe that

this is partially the reason I've felt out of control a little these

past weeks, because I am restricting myself from eating 2 hrs before

bed to avoid reflux. It's working with the reflux, but playing havoc

with my head. I don't like being told what to do, even by myself!!

(ha,ha,ha). OK so now you can call the psych ward and have them come

and cart me away for further testing.....

Ciao

Cherie
