Hi Holly, I am . Did you notice if the black flat seeds sprouted (I am

assuming but not sure if they are garlic) in your French Mix? Mine are going on

Day 3 and have not done a thing but my husband did let the seeds soak for 24

hours instead of the 8-12 before he realized he forgot them. All the others are

sprouting away however!

I can't wait to eat mine too! I thought I was silly posting pics of my first cup

of sprouts but apparently I got a lot of feedback from other friends interested

in the same thing! How exciting!

The small black seeds are generally garlic or onion and they can both take up to

ten days to sprout. You harvest the mix in less than half that time and although

the black seeds are in early sprout phase with barely a tail if any, they do

impart a nice onion or garlic or dill essence that adds to the mixes taste.I

think the flat seeds in the French are dill seeds. I was so impressed by the

onion / garlic taste that I sometimes mix them, sprout them on their own for a

good ten days, and then mix them back into the ready to go 3 or 4 day sprouted

French, Russian or Italian mix for a fantastic taste. Just be patient w/ the

onion or garlic when sprouting on their own. They take forever but are well

worth it.

Hi All

I am going to try one of those mixes. Maybe Russian??

I am now back to sprouting my organic lentils. They had not agreed with me when

I first began sprouting. I had them in my freezer. I have decided to try again

and I'm enjoying them and they don't affect my tummy so that's a good thing.

I wonder what else I should try.

lol

I've been sprouting for a long time, but only me and the kids ate them. French

Garden was the mix that converted my wife. Now I do other mixes, even broccoli

with alfalfa. I just tell he its her favorite and she eats them all up. I can't

get fenugreek past her.

Re: French mix

The Russian Mix is my absolute favorite. Worth the try!

Sprinkle Fenugreek into the other mixes. I don't want it straight either, but

threw some in with broccoli and alfalfa the other day....very good.
