Guest guest
You got that right? And guess what I just bought off of Ebay. This Extra Large Timer that is magnetic and will stick to my refrigerator. So whenever I'm cooking or baking, I can hear this thing go off no matter what room I'm in. I had one of those for 5 years. I dropped it and never thought of going on Ebay and looking for it. I went to the my local $.99 cents store and bought a cheap timer. GOOD LORD, can't hear it. So just now I said " why not see if that extra big one is on Ebay " thank God. I'll never over cook anything again. ROFL. Guest guest
I'm just glad my sprouts don't need a time or they'd be burnt every time, LOL!!! I've forgotten what that bottom thing is under the stove top since I never use it - wait, it's coming back to me . . . oh yeah, the oven thingy, LOL!! Nope, never use it. I'm a crockpot gal, or else, I'm making a wrap, or a very simple stovetop meal. The kitchen is decidedly not my favorite place in the house to be! That would be my art room where I can paint and be oblivious to timers, foods cooking, and all the rest of that mundane domesticity, LOL!! Guest guest
Yes, I think so, too. I don't feel like saluting, but I always do think of America the Beautiful when I see the words. I think it's one of the loveliest descriptive phrases of our country, so I'm partial to the mix even if it wasn't delicious (which it is!) If you've never seen endless fields of grain blowing in the wind on the great prairies of America, you've missed a truly beautiful sight. I think whoever named that mix at SproutPeople was inspired! I like the sound of it and it's even beautiful when you see it written.  JMO, Peggy To: sproutpeople Sent: Saturday, June 18, 2011 9:22 AM Subject: Re: sprouted pretzels  I think it's because every time I see the written phrase " Amber waves of grain " , I'm thinking of either the Star Spangled Banner or America the Beautiful " Melody > >> > > >> > Hi Holly, > >> > > >> > We love Amber Waves of Grain (I used some in my homemade bread a few days > >> ago and it was awesome!). Guest guest
I have a timer that is magnetic and attached to my fridge. It is so loud when it beeps that it generally scares me. It is a digital thing with a probe that I find useful for making yogurt (to monitor temperature on stove). One of the things I love about sprouting is that it requires nothing more than fresh water, and a good place to keep your sprout containers. Easy! Less is more for me. n  n Rollings, PhD NJ Licensed Psychologist #4686 www.DrnRollings.com Until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is--whether its victim is human or animal--we cannot expect things to be much better in this world... Guest guest
Different song, but beautiful nonetheless. The others that popped up on YouTube when this was done look gorgeous as well. Think I'll have to check out some of them!  Thanks, Melody. Guest guest
Hi. This is the one I bought. http://cgi.ebay.com/Kikkerland-Extra-Large-Magnetic-Kitchen-Timer-Black-/1706280\ 79300?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & hash=item27ba39dec4#ht_963wt_728 Now, because I have owned this one, it's perfect for me. but if you need a really loud one, go on google, type in LOUD TIMERS, and you'll get other hits. Best of luck, Melody > > > > > > > > Hi Holly, > > > > > > > > We love Amber Waves of Grain (I used some in my homemade bread a few days ago and it was awesome!). One of my favs is Mother's Mix.
