Guest guest
Thanks to and Ursula - once I had assembled all the information my brain started to clear and I could make a reasonable attempt at the translation I also got help from the ITI medical network thus: Along the border of that structure is another one called the Gyrus dentatus = dentate gyrus. (Please note: this is the dentate gyrus, not the dentate nucleus.) According to Gray's Anatomy, this is a folded structure. The reason why I think that it may be relevant to your translation is that, in French, the old (but very much alive) anatomical term is " corps godronné " - and godronné means folded or pleated. (The Kamina describes the structure as being " plicaturé, avec environ 12 à 15 plis " .) (Karin Band) I am often grateful for 1. The help received from the various e-groups 2. Similarities between the Romance languages which can sometimes (but only sometimes) lead to a solution Thanks again Anne Claydon-Wallace
