Training Purposes

I've noticed that many of the disagreeable exchanges here turn on cross

purposes, or, if you will, a miscomparison of apples to oranges. Then

too, many here, like myself, are middle-aged, as the Bullworker's

initial marketing and pinnacle of popularity was some three decades

ago. Then, as now, marketing touched on body building (probably to

appeal to male vanity and insecurities), though body building, or

exaggerated muscular development, is an all-consuming lifestyle of

lifting and dieting beyond the reach or desire of normal folk, and such

extremity is beyond what the Bullworker or isometrics can offer. My

own personal ideal is not a Schwarzenegger, who represents a sport to

which I don't aspire, but rather the Greek ideal of proportion and

moderation, one example of which comes to mind is the younger

Conrad of " Wild Wild West " fame, though ideals and goals will vary.
