I have been keeping a food diary, noting my fat, carbs and calories for the day. Then adding in my exercise. I have two sites that I am using - http://www.calorieking.com.au/foods/ to get my figures, then http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.html to get some idea if what I eat in calories is being burnt in my exercise. I am not counting incidental exercise like running around the office, just the brisk walk at lunch time and the curves at night. You have to burn more than you consume to create the deficit to then loose weight, so I am trying to make sure that I am going part the way with what I am doing. I am trying to loose 25kg before March next year. I am eating low carb and actually dieting in so far as I am watching my portion sizes and when I eat. I like to have 6 meals a day – that is 6 one cup or less servings then I feel like I am going to be in the drivers seat to make sure I get to where it is I want to be in 6 months time. Keeping in mind the post that Ghyll put up the other week, I am adhering to these rules, my rules and the rules of life – I am like Guantanamo Bay inmate.
