So far I've been pretty good about not letting the stress of unemployment drive me to the economy-size tub-o-Hagen-Daas. In fact, it's given me some time and some freedom to set-up an exercise area in my basement (where I listen to the IOWL podcasts while working out) and to do some serious thinking about where the next phase of my life needs to go. One door closes and another opens I guess. > > Anyway, I enjoy IOWL and am looking forward to being here. > > Best regards, > > Steve > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Hi Steve, Welcome! Sorry to hear about your job loss. I lost my job this past summer. It was very hard to spend all day around a refrigerator when I wasn't use to it! I think I could be okay now. Especially with having 's podcasts. Guest guest
Hi The job situation may be a blessing in disguise. My wife and I went out for dinner on New Year's Eve and I told her that I thought this would be my last year in the job, that I needed to get serious about figuring out where the next phase of my career/life was headed. Three days later I was let go. So I think the universe is trying to tell me something. As for being around the refrigerator, it was actually worse at work. I worked at a private school, where lunch was free and abundant. And my office was located next to the school store, where junk food was easy to get. So being at home is actually reducing my calorie intake significantly. Another plus. Thanks for the positive words. Steve jean davison wrote: Hi Steve, Welcome! Sorry to hear about your job loss.
