Guest guest
Hi All - My son is now 13 - and has been doing ABA for 10 years. Manding has always been his biggest struggle. I recently reviewed the ABLLS-R manding section and found that the skill of getting someone's attention before asking for something is not addressed at all. At some point, wouldn't you teach a child to say " excuse me " or say the person's name then wait for eye contact before manding? What do people think? Is that unimportant? At what point would you teach that skill? I would be interested in hearing what others think about this. Thanks,
