Guest guest
My endo called & wants me to get an ACTH blood test. She said that my cortisol taken on 11/18 was 7 & after my adrenalectomy on 9/19 was 12. My blood sugar, nonfasting was 47 on 11/18. She said my calcium was good & my K was 4.8. Since my adrenalectomy 9/19, I have felt better, but I still tire easily & seem to need 9 1/2 hours of sleep. And, I am back to headaches more often than not & about 2 migraines a week. My BP has ranged from 102/66 to 157/80. It seems like higher BP is usually when I eat out. There does not seem to be a relationship between my migaines & BP. My average BP was 133/70 over the last week. I still have tingling on my face from time to time. In addition, I get real cold & then real hot & my finger tips get numb. Has anyone ever heard of low cortisol after an adrenalectomy? Is this common? Lucy Sage 59 yo, 135 lbs., 5'5, " eat balanced mostly whole food diet (limited dairy & carbs), walk dog 2.5 miles daily.
