Guest guest
Ric, Even if you use a cadaver doner, once it is transplanter it will be HCV pos because the virus is in your blood. Guest guest
Welcome to the group! There are several good Journals out there for the Maternal/Child arenas. One of the best ways to get these journals is to join a professional organization. Journal subscriptions are usually included in these memberships. The organization for L & D nurses is AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetrical and Neonatal Nurses). Their dues are kind of high, but you get subscriptions to 2 excellent journals (Lifelines and JOGYN). Go to www.awhonn.org for details. A cheaper organization is the National Perinatal Association. I'm not sure if they have their own journal, but if your state has a perinatal association, they usually have at least a professional newsletter. Another great journal is Maternal Child Journal. Watch what you get at your hospital, or ask coworkers for ideas and cards for the best journals. I hope this helps. Platner, TX Hi everyone. I am new at this group thing. I have a question...probably a dumb one....but can someone tell me how I can get journal subscriptions? I always get cards for Nursing2006, things like that. But I am interested in Maternal Child or if there is one specially for LDR nurses. Can anyone help????

Guest guest
I was introduced to Kombucha by friend in China (Hong Kong actually, he was visiting, not a permanent resident) who was making a small income by producing Kombucha and selling it to/through some of those little family run restauants that are all over the place. Storage was never a problem since he was unable to keep up with demand, all of the Kombucha being consumed almost as soon as it was delivered. I'm not sure where you your are, but you may find that storage will not be a problem, just frequent deliveries of fresh product. > > I'm kind of new to Kombusha, but I really liked it and I'm thinking > seriously in trying to produce it and market it, since in my country > the drink hasn't been introduced yet. > > I'm thinking of doing it as a homemade business, so I'll try to > standardize the production process, by taking a look at the quantities > of material used, fermentation time and temperature. > > But I really would love to hear any ideas concerning prolonging shelve > life of kombusha through bottling, knowing that most probably most > shops won't be able to store it in fridges. > > So what do you think? > > >

Guest guest
Hi, Some things to do at the beginning would be: * clean up the diet - try to get rid of all additives, particularly aspartame * try to go organic/ home cooked * do a trial without any dairy whatsoever. Not all children improve off dairy but some improve dramatically. My little boy did, for example. You shouldn't have to wait longer than a week or so to see if this brings results. Read labels carefully and look for other forms of dairy such as whey. * Read 'gut and psychology syndrome' by Natasha McBride * Give your child a good quality brand of fish oils such as MorEPA. Start with a high dose; 3 capsules per day for 3 months. This will build up his long chain fatty acids. Then you can do a maintenance dose of one caps per day. I have a very strong feeling that this will really benefit your son. * Try Epsoms salts baths. start with a teaspoon in the bath in case he reacts but build up to about a cup. * try a good brand of probiotics e.g. VSL3 or CP1. start on a low dose and build up slowly to the recommended dose. * Try Houston enzymes. Most of our kids really benefit from these * Try a good multi vitamin. * try vitamin C * Don't do all the above at once! * look at www.treatingautism.co.uk for more tips and to see if there is a local support group near you Good luck and keep asking questions, Sara Shuko Akinyemi wrote: > > > Hi there > > I am a mother of a 6 year old, he has not been diagonized with > anything but we have just had soo much trouble with his school [ > doesn’t pay attention, short concentration span, won’t keep hands to > himself etc]. Guest guest
Hi, My autistic son did not have the vaccine, but his doctor gave him the homeopathic MMR. After this his twin sister got mumps very mildly (she also had the homeopathic MMR) and my son did not catch it. So I'd recommend going down that route from my experience. Hope this helps Stacey
