Guest guest
Mel much to the digust of a friend of mine who is an avid hand quilter, I do mine by machine - I just wouldn't have the patience. I did classes in Leichhardt earlier this year at Logan's Patchworks to learn some of the basics and do the finishing on my first quilt (which proudly hangs above my bed). If you ring and ask for Helen, I am sure she will be able to put you onto someone to complete UFO's. I'm a really lazy sewer but I found that by doing this little project at night, it kept me out of the fridge. Actually I only got into this by accident - 18 mths ago when visiting my sister, she took me into a little craft cottage in the country as she was interested in taking this up. Well she spent her time supervising her 3 ankle biters not to destroy the place and I walked out with a new quilt project and have had all the bits for both quilts sent over from NZ, plus I had to go and buy a new sewing machine to do a decent job so it turned out to be an expensive project. My new quilt is for a single bed, which I don't have, so that will probably end up collecting dust somewhere when it is finished and I'm hand sewing lots of words (quotes) onto that one as well. How big is your unfinished one? Ciao Cherie > > > > > Cherie... Bev... > > I love quilting, I love doing embroidery, but can't now because of dodgy > tendons in my hand.
