Guest guest
Libby I am having trouble with fruit too, even strawberries which I love - put mine in the blender the other day so I could consume them easily and this weekend I'm going to make Strawberry soup. I would think that orange/mandarin would be too fibrous/stringy and I would try and avoid. also you might have trouble with skins, ie plums, peaches etc. I stew mine a little with balsamic and sugar - goes down a treat. Bananas are always a winner but not in the calorie or price department at the moment. You must be fairly well restricted if this is giving you trouble. Fruit in summer is so good - try berries - they are usually OK. Cheers Cherie > > Hi everyone, > > I just had a little bit of mandarin which resulted in a PB. Guest guest
Best to avoid fibrous fruits, so apple, banana and stone fruit seem to go well - especially when they are poached or coated in chocolate (LOL). Having said that, I had no trouble with asparagus on Saturday night so who can figure this out? Nx
Guest guest
what bothers/annoys me is the fact that here I am trying to be healthy and a run into problems - but can quite easily eat 1 slice of pizza with zlich problems - go figure! Guest guest
I'm tight right now but still enjoying asparagus thank goodness as I love it. I snap off the ends - about 1/3 and chargrill then till fairly soft and then woof them down but at the moment food is difficult in general as I'm tense and concerned so not much is sitting well and that bluddy reflux came back to bite me last night. Guest guest
Libby... Obesity is a dirty word for me today. But... unfortunately all us bandits can eat a lot of crap and very little good food. The whole idea is for us to eat only good food, and very little of it. We should be easily satisfied with very small amounts, well, satisfied is probably not the right word... I will never be satisfied with the small amounts that I eat... I need to eat more for some odd reason. The word is really meant to use is " FULL " We should be filled up with good food and if we follow the rules and have the protien, followed by the veges & fruit and then carbs, we should stay full for longer and need less. Unfortunately, I like to eat, I like the feeling of chewing etc. I have to pop off to the bank. I hope this helps... nothing much is really helping today. Guest guest
Libby when I am full on protein and good solid food, even icecream won't slip down my gullet. I actually threw one out last night as I was in public and didn't think I could hold onto it after losing dinner earlier. By the time I got home late I was a little peckish but too scared to eat for fear of reflux. That happened anyway as I (should say WE all) had a stressful day yesterday waiting on news. Today isn't much better and right now I'm heading for nurturing with a big mug of hot milky milo. I don't go near bread anymore and eating lots of crackers but on the weekend I did a pizza making class and do you think I was going to give away my efforts - I whipped off the crusts, made the pizza very think, shared 1 slice with a neighbour a the dog got a bit and I scoffed 2/3 - have no idea how that happened, but no pain and no PBs. We just need to save the crap food for last, at which time we don't have any room for it anyway - good deterent. Guest guest
I'm not sure what it is, but something definitely tightens. Sometimes it is all just a big mystery....
