Guest guest
{{{{{{hugs honey}}}}}} I was just diagnosed in Dec/07 and can clearly remember feeling as you do. What is the point??? So many mountains to climb it would just be easier to go with the flow and die when it was my time. Then my husband and family stepped in and said they wanted me around for more than another 2 or 3 years So I opened my closed mind and did some more research. I did 2 weeks of testing from 8am to 4pm every single day at Mayo Clinic. Christ if that don't kill you nothing will LMAO. Based on their findings I had a 17% chance of clearing the virus. I eat well, don't smoke, drink or do recreational drugs so I figured why not give it a shot. Don the nodules on my liver are healing!!!!! This after only 3 weeks of Tx. I am not sick in bed and my quality of life is very very good. At this point I am so very happy I chose this route. If your not willing to eat right, not drink or smoke or do drugs ...forget it. We had a very dear friend who passed away 5 years after his diagnoses of HepC. His plan was to go out parting and having a good ol time. If not for him I probably would have done that as well. No way would I choose that after watching him slowly and painfully die. He did have his pain pills and beer to comfort him. The last month was a nightmare as he was hooked up to a dialysis machine most of ever day. Prior to that he was getting fluid drained from his body on a regular basis. I had that done once and it knocked me on my butt for 2 weeks! I don't fault anyone for what ever path they choose. Just choose a path and stick to it no matter what mountain flies up in front of you. Its not a easy road no matter which way you go. I called his Pegasys and Riba into the pharmacy on Monday (hubby needed his shot last night) Well the pharmacy never ordered his Pegasys. They said they faxed the paperwork to the dr monday afternoon and haven't heard back from the dr. I called the dr office and they told me it was faxed back on Tuesday the pharmacy says they never received it. Regardless someone really screwed up. Now it is straighted out now but the Pegasys has to be ordered and the pharmacy will not have it until Monday. Has anyone had this happen to them? Does it mess up all of the weeks he has done? Will he have bad side effects from getting the shot so late? What can we expect to happen?Believe me I tried every pharmacy in town and no one keeps this stuff on hand they all said they would have to order it. I could not even get it through our hospital. I am going to have to find another pharmacy because I through such a fit in there yesterday they asked me to leave. The manager called me later and explained to me it wasn't their fault and that I treated their people with disrespect and that my husband could pick up his meds on Monday. So I guess they don't want me in there store anymore.
