Every ounce went to my waist and it shows... and there is a message in that: unless you are active everyday, 10 lbs in a month is about a 1/4 pound a day. You can barely measure it. > > It is why a daily weigh-in keeps one honest and aware. > >  > > > > Bullworker > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: <tgparker2008@> > > To: bullworkerclub > > Sent: Friday, October 14, 2011 11:17 AM > > Subject: Lost 3 Lbs. Guest guest
: Your comments bring back fond memories of my high school wrestling coach. I vividly remember 40 odd years ago in my high school wrestling team, the daily work outs and how we were encouraged to record our weight gain/loss every day. I don't have a problem with abstinence or diet. I stopped working out with my BW several years ago because of FEAR. I started getting excruciating pains up and down my left arm and side and around my chest & back every time I worked out with my BW or jogged 3 miles. The pain was so excruciating every time and I thought to myself, " This is it, this is the big one I'm a gonner " . The only thing that would moderate the pain was a form of self hypnosis we learned in the bush, when we'd get hit with an AK-47 round and had to hump 10-15 klicks back to the LZ or Fire-base. Every time I went to see the Doc (6+ times), and each time he said, " There's nothing wrong with your cardiovascular system, get outta here! " . Nobody could figure out what it was. The pains kept getting worse and worse. I simply stopped exercising. That's all it took. I didn't " binge " , or change my diet, just lack of activity was all it took, and I blew up like a balloon. I'm doing volunteer work for the Hurricane Irene Flood Survivors in the Catskills (upstate NY) with a group of Docs, LMTs, Chiropractics, Healers, Acupuncturists, etc...We set up a weekly Sunday " Holistic FREE M.A.S.H. Unit " for the flood survivors. and One of the Chiropractics said from ACROSS THE ROOM, " TG are you ok? Your shoulder looks like it's dislocated! " So, I can't believe that I've been running around since 2004 with a dislocated shoulder, and not a single regular Alopathic doctor (MD) noticed it, yet a Chiropractic could see it from across the room. When I finally looked at my back in a mirror, I looked like Quasimodo. Anyway the Chiropractics, Acupuncturists, and LMTs have been working on me and have reset my shoulder, and I'm working out again with BW, SB, Iso-K, and jogging again, having let go of the FEAR that I'm having a heart attack. The pain has subsided gradually as I exercises and have regular weekly sessions with my chiropractics, LMT, Acupuncture buddies. So now that I know that the pain is some kind of " pinched nerve pain " from the dislocated shoulder, I can do the " EFT Tapping " and " Self Hypnosis " that I learned many years ago in a dirty little war in a dirty little country, and get on with the workout. Moral of this story: F.E.A.R. = False Evidence Appearing Real Namaste, TG > > , > Â > Just a different perspective... > Weigh yourself everyday... the slight fluctuations are nothing... > But the frustrations of little loss and a slight binge that is not noticed till next week is costly. <SNIP>
