Guest guest
I've finally had time to read back through many archived messages on this Board as well as begin the DASH book. I'm wondering if it's possible for too much salt to truly send one into crisis if they have Conn's? I only ask this because I went on a " pickle binge " not long before I ended up in the hospital. I ate a LOT of pickles (I found a brand that was quite good, and they became my evening snack every night...) They are obviously quite high in sodium (at the time, I wasn't thinking of the sodium but of the low calorie count!). I didn't think a thing of it until I started reading all of the posts on here. It seems silly to think that eating large quantites of pickles could land one in the hospital with extreme tachycardia, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask (esp. since my excessive pickle eating is literally the ONLY diet/lifestyle change that I can point to in the couple of weeks leading up to the ER visit and hospital stay). Possible or not likely?
