I had a healthy 8 lb baby girl on Dec. 27th. I was able to stay off the Spiro

till the last three weeks of the pregnancy, when the BP spiked. Delivery was

normal, not C-section, but required injections of BP meds every 15 minutes for

nearly 24 hrs to keep the BP under 160/110. At discharge BP was 150s/90s on 100

mg spiro 2 x day plus 20 meq K. At the end of the month I'll see yet another

endo specialist at U of M (Dr. Greckin, I believe). I cannot say enough good

things about the OB Endo team at U of M!
