Guest guest
Even though my husband and I are not as educated and as fortunate with our finances as Rene and her husband I have to say I would much rather be in Rene's shoes. Even if her husband was rude and obnoxious (I don't think he is). I understand the other family. I used to think a lot like them (on the health issues, not the education part). I was so ignorant to how bad those habits really are. I had no clue that exercise felt good. I felt bad for them as did Rene. Over the last couple of years I have learned so much from Rene and others and I can't even believe I ate what I ate. I am still battling some issues. I wish I had the knowledge sooner. I also understand the issues with her husband as I am married to a man who does not believe in political correctness. He is a sweet hard working dedicated husband and dad but to outsiders he can seem rude, obnoxious and disrespectful. I have been embarrassed by things he has said many times. Still I do not correct him in front of others. I save that for home. When you do that, people jump in and try to tear apart your marriage. It is not worth it. As far as him not liking America, what other proof do you need other than him becoming a US citizen? I am a foreigner also and very proud to have gone through the process of becoming an American citizen. It is not an easy one. I like Rene's last comment, it says it all: Her husband says " she will never meet anyone else on the same level as me " She answered " I am sure she is glad about that! " That is exactly what I would have said and it shows Rene's feelings and a bit of her sense of humor. I strive to be more like Rene, in control of her health, setting a great example for her kids and giving them the best of everything so they can live healthy, successful lives.
