Guest guest
Hi Sabine, Dr Munro is at Gosford and although I had my surgery at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital at Woy Woy, I have heard he is only doing surgery at the moment at North Gosford Private Hospital. I think he has learnt most of his stuff from Dr (I THINK it's that doctor) but I would highly recommend him. I was only his 3rd patient for the lapband however he has extensive experience in much more complicated surgeries. I have a VERY VERY close family friend who is the Nurse Unit Manager of the day procedure unit where I was operated on and she know's alot of surgeons and couldn't recommend Dr Munro highly enough. Check out his website at www.centralcoastobesitysurgery.com.au Let me know if there's any questions I can answer for you. > > Hi , my name is Sabine. > I am still waiting for my op. Guest guest
Hi , my name is Sabine. I am still waiting for my op. Have been on the public waiting list since January this year. I rang the surgeons office every month to find out how many people are in front of me. Well I started off with 7 waiting in front, a few month later 6, and then maybe 2 month ago yeppie only 3 in front.still slow, but I am ok with it. A few days ago I rang again and hello there are 6 in front of me.I am so depressed and upset, and they only told me it was a misunderstanding. How easy to say, I am thinking every single day about the op, I am so ready for it.They cant see how people feel. Anyway, I joined the private health fund in February, so I could get it done next year. Because I am on pension, this makes it not easy for me. I rang around for surgeons and was surprised how different they are with the out of pocket pay. I live in Belmont so the nearest one is Dr. . I have to go to the seminar next Wednesday, and than I have to see him. The out of pocket is $3000 + $500 for the Aneth & **%....(Sleep doc) . This covers me for 1 year. But now I read that Dr. Munro is doing it for $3000 for follow up for 3 years . I might have to look into it as well. I don't no how far away it is for me. But I did not mind to go to Sydney as well. I am so down lately this waiting drives me mad. And the worst part I put weight on as well. I am so frustrated. As I said I AM SO READY TO GET DONE...... So I let some air out today......hope everyone is fine. SAbine
Guest guest
Hello Cherie, Thank you so much for your kind reply. Believe me I rang every surgeon in Sydney. I went to another one ,because his assistent said they do it in the public system, when I was there, it was a misunderstanding. Still cost me the visit. I went to another one in Sydney they do it in the public one , talked to the friendly nurse(hello sweetie how are you?) but when the surgeon realized I came from Newcastle, Sorry I cant do it only people from the Sydney area.(Did not had to pay) So many knock backs, I am very upset. And then the long waiting with the other surgeon from Sydney, I am really #$%$$#$^%....... But I hang in > I will go to the seminar next Wednesday and might get it done from a surgeon in Warners Bay.(Hopefully). With my luck they probably find a disease, so they cant do it . ONLY KIDDING Thanks again Sabine -------Original Message-------
