Guest guest
<<Definitely this year; perhaps in June or July 2000? KAT AND LYNDA, WHEN DID YOU GET YOUR " NEW " AL2s AND AL3s? I know one of my " new " tapes is copyrighted 1999 (it must be either the new AL1 or the new BL1 since your new AL2 and AL3 say copyrighted 2000).>> Thanks Etcarroll! --acey

Now I'm worried that if I buy these six tapes off e-bay I will just be getting the same AL2 and AL3. My AL3 is dated 2000, but, the seller says her tapes 1-3 are dated 1999...will I be getting the same copy of AL2 but maybe the OLD version of AL3?? I'm beginning to sound like a chess game! If folks can confirm that their new AL2 and 3 were definitely THIS year, I may go ahead with the bid, but it expires tonight... Help, --acey
Guest guest
<<the newer tapes have tae-bo gear ads at the beginning and after that ad, they only say " Advanced Live " whereas the older versions specifically say " Advanced Live Volume 1 " or " Advanced Live Volume 2 " ! Maybe you could ask the seller some questions to try to figure out which tapes they have? Don't know if you can contact them or not! It is a little confusing! It's kind of up in the air as to what tapes you might get....LOL! Most people aren't aware that there are new vs. old tapes so they think you're crazy....LOL! Good luck >> Thanks ! I wish I had gotten your advice sooner! I cancelled my bid because it just seemed too risky at this point in time. I am now stalking e-bay and other auction places...I really wish the TB folks had specified clearly about the old vs. new, and had kept the old in stock! I read such great reviews of Advanced Live 2 and 3 in the tae-bo fan's site that I was really looking forward to them..the new versions are fine, but not as challenging as what I've heard about the old. I'll just have to keep looking! cheers, --acey
Guest guest
<<Acey, I checked my tapes and both my new and old AL2 are copyrighted 1999. You should be fine on AL3, since the new tape is copyrighted 2000. Elena>> Thanks Elena...after much emotional haggling with myself, I went ahead and bid again, assuming the chance is likely that if the six-tape set has an OLD AL3, then the AL2 may be the old version, as well. By that reasoning I'll have another copy of AL1 old...well, I can just put items back out on ebay if I have to. Wish me luck, folks, in that I don't get stuck with multiple copies of the same tapes and $100 less to show for it! --acey

I really think the new AL2 just came out this year. Good luck. Elena

Elena>> ARRGGHHH!! I had a high bid going on e-bay that closed Friday night. I left for a theater retreat and came back last night--to find I'd been outbid! This is becoming something like the Quest for the Holy Grail...geez! Now there's an e-bay item for Adv. Vol 3 (1999, so I bet it's the old) -- I'm bidding on that but the competition is very fierce! Now if only somebody would put out the OLD Adv. Vol. 2 out there.. Keep wishing me luck, all, -the obsessed acey

I apparently won the top bid for the single AL3, at $31.01--more than a tape costs from the tae-bo page. But as you said, it's a rare item now so the cost is more dear! --acey who of course would love to know if you are ever ready to part with AL2, old version.
