I (we) do not have your complete story and numbers that I recall or see a thumbnail to help me keep you straight from the other 670+ folks here.If CA tended to be high this should suppress PTH. Some labs provide a graph of their normal CA PTH plots with your number on the graph. Did you get one of these? My PTH level came back at 18 after my calcium elevated slightly on Spiro. Doctor says all is well and we will just keep an eye on the CA level.I can't help but think that 18 is kind of low/normal and might be an indication of a parathyroid that is barely functioning. Should I get an endo consult? Or am I so suspicious of the opinions of doctors because of a misdiagnosis from more than a few of them for over 16 years.
