Guest guest
I do too!! My Pearl is the sweetest cat and is such a good companion. After my Sophie passed at 17 years old, I was so heartbroken and swore I would never get another cat. But then I was “browsing” the website for Last Hope Animal Rescue, a local organization that rescues cats out of shelters when they’re close to being euthanized. I saw Pearl in her cage and she had the saddest eyes……I went to see her and she did seem so sad. There were other younger cats that seemed so lively, but I took Pearl because I knew she would be harder to place – she was around 3 or 4 at the time. I was so glad I did! I love her to bits even though she’s quite a handful most of the time. Sophie was a little dainty lady and Pearl is a bruiser. Even my vet said that he would think she was a male if he didn’t know better. She’s a big, strong girl and throws her cat litter all over the bathroom! She sheds like crazy and is a lot of work keeping up with! She’s very demanding and MUST be brushed 5 or 6 times a day. Unfortunately, she has a number of medical problems and cost me more in the first 2 months than Sophie cost me in 17 years until she became ill. Her foster mom described her: “Pearl wants to be your best friend……..she’s a couch potato.” She IS my best friend! She’s just so sweet and when it’s time to sit and watch TV in the evening, she’s right there by my side. All during tx, she was always there to comfort me………hmmm, or maybe that was looking for her next meal??? Or wanting to be brushed??? Guest guest
They're SUCH sweeties, (or swootie-wooties as I like to say) Some people think that I'm 'weird' because of how much I love my cat. Don't worry, platonic only. ROFLMFAO I gotta say, that I like cats more than 'some'-people I've known. > > I do too!!
