Hi. I am newly diagnosed with hyperaldo. My primary Dr. started me on 25mg of

Spiro. I've only been taking it for a few days. Is this dosage enough to start

lowering my aldo. He also told me to stop my potassium supplements but I'm

nervous about my potassium dropping even though spiro is a potassium sparing

diuretic. I don't want to end up back in ER with 2.5 potassium. I'm praying this

medicine actually works for me as my bp has been very high. I also have my first

appt. with an Endo Dr., what to expect?

Thanks.
