Guest guest
We met with Dr. ERikson today at Denver Children's Hospital. He looked at and measured Wyatt's x-ray that was taken 7/2. His RVAD is 30 and Cobb is 27. Dr. son advised to wait 2-3 mos and re-xray to see if he improves. He was not comfortable with anesthesia and casting Wyatt at this point stating " I wouldn't cast my own child with 30 degree curve " . Wyatt is 5 mos old next week. I told him I wouldn't be comfortable waiting that long, since the xray is almost 3 weeks old now. So I am okay with waiting 6 wks before we re-xray. However, after talking to Tasha I figured out I am not okay with waiting. I am going to send his x-ray and info to SLC for 2nd opinion. Please advise!!! 30 seems big for a such a young baby, his cobb is almost twice what the " wait and see " like it to be. My gut tells me it will progress, but want your opinion please. I don't want to wait and have Wyatt have to be in a cast even longer b/c we waited. Thank you! Schultz
