Guest guest
I wonder if i will ever get a reliable draw? Again, the nurse asked me to make a fist and i this time I said NO. I asked her what gauge needle, and it was 21. I showed her where the best place to stick me was. She jams needle in and starts digging....finally gets it and says. "See - one poke". Then, 1/2 way through the first vial, the tube pops off the stopper. This time the K reading was 3.8 (3.5-5.1 range). I still think that it read higher than it actually was becuase of the digging around. Then she basically tosses each vile into a basket. I am thinking that cant be good if you are trying to not rupture red blood cell membraines. Unreal. I am damn near about to draw my own next time. I suspect I could do better on my first try. Grrrr. I left shaking my head, again. ============================================================================45-Male-Caucasian, 5'9"- 242lbs, PA Diagnosed 2007 Suspected Hyperplasia-No tumors on CT - No AVS.Meds: 50mg Inspra, 40meq Potassium, 1800mg Calcium, 1000mg Magnesium, 100,000UI Vit D (weekly), 20mg OmeprazoleSide effects: Gynecomastia, stomach inflammation (From Spiro)Other Diags: GERD, Hiatal Hernia, Metabolic Syndrome - PreDiabetic, Secondary Hyperparathyroidism caused by Renal calcium leak, Bone Cyct in left Femoral Head and Pelvis.
