Hi Everone, Just got back Liver biopsy. I'm Geno Type 3 and it say's using " Scheuer " classification chronic viral Hep lesions can be considered to be grade 3,stage 3 going to Hep Doc on 27 of March, trying to lose weight so the can consider me for TX Also say i have fatty Liver. I was stage 3 fibrosis when I treated. I responded and was undetectable from 12 weeks. I did relapse at 6 months after treatment, but I had another biopsy and I dropped to stage 2. Guest guest Posted March 13, 2008 Report Share Posted March 13, 2008 The liver continues to grow when there is no stress on it from the hep.For living doner transplants they take a portion of the other persons liver and and implant it into the patient.The original doner will grow that back within a year,the peice that he donated.Once this virus is no longer active your liver will grow healthy cells to make your liver function better.Treatment is usually only 24wk treatment unless you don't become undetectable in a certain amount of time,then they might lengthen treatment.
