It wasn't that is was " wacky " necessarily, it's just not something that I

would want to do. He wants you to eat six times a day, which is fine if you

have the time. The diet seemed restrictive though. It's high protein low

carb. I am not into that whole low carb thing. It just doesn't work for me.

Bill talks about certain foods that he " authorizes " which turned me

off. He authorizes me to eat certain foods? Yikes. I think that one day a

week is a free day where you eat whatever you want. That was kind of cool.

The guy recommends that you buy his shakes, which are WAY expensive!! Then

there's exercise plan! He says to do only 20 minutes of cardio three times a

week. Tae-Bo would not fit into this plan at all! He puts an emphasis on

weight training, which I liked. He demonstrates some really good exercises.

But over all, it is not a plan I could stick to. I don't have the time to eat

six small meals a day, even thought it is a good way to eat. I am not into

the low carb thing. There is no way I am only going to do 20 minutes of

cardio three times a week! He may have the answer to weight loss, who knows?

But it isn't something I could stick to. And, I hate to say it, but the

before and after pictures all look fake!

:) who hopes no body for lifers are offended, I was just stating why

this plan would not work for me.

It's called Body for Life by Bill . I got it cheap on Ebay, that's

the only reason I am reading it, LOL!

Thanks for your opinion!

Those before and after pictures do look a bit fake. Remember that link Barb

sent to the list a month or so ago where a guy took a " before " and " after "

pic of himself when there was only 4 minutes between each shot. Just the way

he stood and flexed his msucles looked as if he lost mucho fat and gained

muscle. I definitely don't trust any before or after pic (in an ad) after

that!

Besides the tan and expressions and muscle flexing,

just the position affects alot

did you ever see a *Before* with the abs sucked in?

did you ever see an *After* without the abs sucked in?

Barb

who believes Tae-Bo is the only one with some *Before* pictures that are

showing a tan cuz it wasn't planned

Yeah.....those photos look like TOTALLY different people! I mean,

it's not just that they are totally pale and ghostly looking with a

negative serious look on their face for the " before " photos and then

all tan and happy with huge smiles on for the " after " photos! I

mean, they look like just absolutely different people...LOL! I agree

that I wouldn't be able to stick to the plan because of the 20 minute

cardio thing! I have the book, but I haven't gotten to the weight

lifting plan yet! In fact, I really haven't gotten very far in it at

all..LOL! I guess I should keep reading :)

Snannon and ,

What book are y'all reading?

;-)

F

who was reading the Eat4Your Type which was sitting on my cousin's

coffee table in harrisburg. Claims people of each blood type have

different dietary needs and that by adhering to the proper food plan,

one can boost vitality and immunity. I'd have to cut out half the

foods I like, so I think I'll pass.

Funny you mention that book, cuz I was reading an article about it during the weekend. Supposedly that this method works because you restrict so many foods that you end up eating less calories anyways... Not my idea of a balanced diet!!

No offense taken...at all! LOL I'm Type B, and the author claims Bs

have the most variety available to them of all the blood types.

However, I wouldn't be able to eat wheat, barley, corn, avocado,

lentil, black beans...tons of the stuff I like. So, unless I come

down with some illness that compromises my immune system, I don't

think I'll be trying it!
