I have to get one of these bags!!!!!! I have a hanging bag. It's one of those heavy duty ones that still make your knuckles bleed, even if you wear gloves. I don't think it would work for Tae-Bo. I got mad and kicked it yesterday and thought I broke my toe. Would have served me right, LOL!

When I first started using the bag (beginning of June), my arms were sore for a couple days even though I had been doing the same punches without a bag. Guest guest
Hitting the bags IS like weight work...you get resistance from both. What one can do differently with the bags is to use low intensity in the punches and kicks...using the bags as a focus point/target without throwing everything you've got into it. A lot of people at my boxing gym do that in order not to wear themselves out before going into the ring. ;-) F > > > a For me, hitting the bag is > > almost like a weight workout because it works my muscles so much more > > than when I am not using it. > > , I think the same thing. Guest guest
If you're using heavy bags, you should both rap and glove your hands. Your knuckles shouldn't bleed. If they do, your gloves aren't very good. Take care of those hands! ;-) F > In a message dated 7/29/00 8:30:12 AM Eastern Daylight Time, paw@m... > writes: > > << > , I think the same thing. Guest guest
Amybeth, The way I read what you said, it sounds like you think I OWN the boxing gym...I don't own it...I go there to work out. However, if any folks want to visit the Big Easy, it would be fun to work out there together (once my knee is in better shape). ;-) who has only two more days before she sees the orthopedist about her knee > > > What one can do differently with the bags is to use low intensity > > in > > > the punches and kicks...using the bags as a focus point/target > > > without throwing everything you've got into it. > > > > , > > > > > > > who is wishing she lived in New Orleans so she could go to 's > > boxing gym > > Yeah it is a great tip...going to try it today with my AL9 > > Amybeth-who didn't know had a boxing gym now has a reason to > go to New Orleans
