Guest guest
Haven't seen this yet, but we were thinking of order this DVD for the presentation we've been giving at Marriage Prep for years. I bet it would also be appropriate for the type of presentation you're doing, since it's directed at Catholic students. (Has anyone seen it? Care to share your opinion of it?) http://www.drvc-faith.org/nfpDvdOffering.html Here's a link to a brief PowerPoint for Billings we use locally, just to give you an idea of the sort of thing you could put together if you're handy with the computer (scroll to the very bottom of the page, download PowerPoint): http://www.billingsnaturalfamilyplanning.org/ a ----------------------------------------- Sent via Catholic Online Webmail! Doesn't say anything about the method, though. It opens up fine on OpenOffice.org so you can edit it without buying Powerpoint. I wish the Rockville Center video wasn't so long (22 min). We have a STRICT half hour to get in intros and a witness, too, at PreCana. If somebody knows a good 10-15 min. video, I'd like to see it! jim -- Jim & Margaret Van Damme Couple to Couple League-Central New York http://nfp.freehostia.com/ <== Big NFP site Our real address is vandamme@...! -------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
I watched this DVD, and found it engaging and generally well done. It might work well as a conversation starter for a group of students... there isn't a lot of detail on techniques in the DVD, offering more of an overview/argument on behalf of NFP. Fr. Guest guest
, That particular PowerPoint is only meant to be a brief introduction to NFP, we have a separate one that goes into all the details of the method for instruction purposes. Wow - 30 minutes for NFP at PreCana? We get 1.5 hours for our presentation and even that feels too short! Can you ask for more time? a > > >> >> Here's a link to a brief PowerPoint for Billings we use locally, just to >> give you an idea of the sort of thing you could put together if you're >> handy with the computer (scroll to the very bottom of the page, download >> PowerPoint): >> http://www.billingsnaturalfamilyplanning.org/ > > Pretty flashy, and very short. Guest guest
Thank you! That's exactly what we need! I use my BOM materials to present on how NFP works, we just needed something that speaks a little bit more as to why NFP is beneficial in marriage. Sounds perfect!!! a > I watched this DVD, and found it engaging and generally well done. Guest guest
You might want to look at the online NFP manual at our website below. Chapters 2 and 3 deal with the physiological basics. If you are hoping to persuade them or at least influence them to listen to the teaching of the Catholic Church regarding love, marriage and sexuality, you might find some help in the Introduction and in Chapter One. And if you are willing to consider ecological breastfeeding as an important part of natural family planning, you will find Chapter 6 helpful. You can open it under Windows without buying Powerpoint anyway - the viewer is free. However, it would be worth saying on your website that you can open it on pretty well any operating system with OpenOffice, which is also free. -- Aldred
Guest guest
Dear Antonia, Attached is something I have made up for such talks to high school, college, or anyone who wants a little head-to-head comparison of the ways of the world vs. NFP. It is simple, but that is why I like it. Hope it goes well! We will be praying for you!
