Guest guest
Good you are in the right place. Give us your complete story and start to DASH now and at least one cup of V-8 low sodium a day. Suspect your problems are related to low body and maybe blood K from PA.please give more details on what lacipil is. Not spelled right? If an ACE it does not do much for BP in PA.Have you read my article on the Evolution of PA yet?CE Grim MD i was diagnosed with conn's last Feb of this year. with 25 mg of aldactone, and lacipil, my bp has been doing well so far. However, i suffer with muscle weakness. There was even a time, just last Monday night when i had numbness in my left arm and a very severe pain in left side of my back.. It was so sovere that I can't even move. After about 25 minutes of numbness and severe pain at left side of my back, it subsided.. Is this normal to all Conn's patients? By the way, I am also suffering with regular bloating.. my abdomen is almost always bloated and hard.. My doctors can't find anything wrong after doing an abdominal xray and ct scan. What should I do next? I can't even find one from my place who is also diagnosed with conn's.. looking forward for your help.. than=ks so much!!! Guest guest
Have you had your potassium level checked recently? The muscle weakness, numbness, and severe back pain were all things I got when my potassium got below 4.0. The short time I took spironolactone, I had to continue taking potassium supplements. Re: the bloating - before my adrenalectomy in October my abdomen always felt that way as well. I've lost somewhere between 5 and 10 pounds since the surgery and I'm pretty sure it was all salt/water weight concentrated in my abdominal area. The actual shape of my abdomen has completely changed - even though I'm thin, it always stuck out before the surgery; now it doesn't. -msmith1928 Nulliparous female, 46, 5'3 " , 115 lbs, CT showed 1cm left adrenal nodule, AVS determined disease is unilateral, had left laparoscopic adrenalectomy on 10/13/2011. Low sodium, fructose- and grain-free diet due to hereditary fructose intolerance, lactose intolerance, gluten intolerance (probable celiac). > > i was diagnosed with conn's last Feb of this year. with 25 mg of aldactone, and lacipil, my bp has been doing well so far. > > However, i suffer with muscle weakness. Guest guest
Low K can affect gut function. Even causes ileus slowing and bloatingCE Grim MD Have you had your potassium level checked recently?
