My own doctor treated my side effects with maximum dosages of Ambien and Ativan. Both are addictive and Ativan, a benzodiazepine, is extremely so. Panic attacks and anxiety attacks are not unusual while on treatment. People with severe depression are often excluded from treatment because it might induce them to commit suicide.
