Guest guest
Hi guys, It has been a while since I've posted. Quick review of my daughter, Isabel. She is 2 yrs 9 months old. She is on her 6th cast (as of yesterday). She started with a 77 degree curve at her first cast at 2 yrs 1 month old. She is now at 42 degrees. She was at 25 degrees at one point but she has a " stubborn curve " (dr's words). So here is my question: What do they do when casting doesn't work? Is the next step the rods in her back? She isn't even 3! I am just dumbfounded. I mean, it has worked signifcantly..77 to 42..thats AMAZING! But what now? Do they keep casting her forever? I know the dr will answer these questions when I see him in 3 weeks but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this... Thanks in advance, Angie in Miami, FL Mommy to Isabel (DOB 12/18/06)..progressive infantile scoliosis..6th cast, cleft palate and Sofia (12/2/08)
