Honey congratulations you are almost finished tx. The calendar has May 20 as your last shot. Is that still correct ???? It may not feel like it to you but it doesn't seem that long ago you decided to do tx. You do have talent have excellent writing and communication skills and should be a published author. It would be a great way to spread the word about HCV and be an advocate for us all and to the general public. At times we are our worst enemy and sell ourselves too short especially during stressful times. Keep up the excellent work and job you are doing and that has enriched supported and benefited us so much and helped us get through our own very stressful times. All The Best. Deb

Yes, Deb. I'm counting down and getting more excited each week. Only five more shots to go! Wahooooo!

You are correct, May 20 is the last shot date, then I go see my dr. on the 26th. Last visit for six months. Wahoooooooo!

I would like to publish someday, but right now do not have enough poems in my Dragon Series to do that. A Hep-C Awareness Book would be wonderful in people's hands. I'm finding that finding a publisher for an unpublished author is no easy feat. Of course, you can pay someone, but that was not my intention I'll bide my time and sooner or later, I will be published and I will let this group and the world know about it.

By the way, I tried to download my poem written today into my file. I guess I'm not too mechanical minded. I just can't figure it out. Let me know the procedure please. Maybe I'm just missing a step. Hugs, VickieG

Gail, I contacted the hep c organization, in NJ. (The base Corp.) They do not have a list of publishers but told me to check with the Hepatitis magazine in TX. That's my next move. If my work was meant to be published, it will happen some where. Thank you for your help. Hugs, Vickie

Hi, Gail. Just got back from the dentist office. Hubby and I both had a crown fall out so we made a double date today. Hahaha!

I've heard also that sometimes you might get a critique with your rejection letter, which could help improve your writing. I'm not affraid of rejection letters, used to get lots of them when job hunting. Wish I could get that far or close. It's hard to find someone to send work to. I'm finding out that some publishers don't charge but want the rights to your work. Some publishers will publish whatever you want to see in print, wheather it's good or not. Some publishers won't publish your book unless you've already published. It's beginning to look complicated to publish the first time. When my best seller poetry book finally gets published, they'll all be knocking on my door and I'll be wearing sunglasses to hide behind. Hahaha!

I bet you can write. You just write out your general idea and go back and expand on it as your thoughts come back to you. You should take the time to try.

My life would make a drama from beginning to end. But, I won't write about it. I think it's too personal. The short story I started is being figured out as I go. Historical fiction. I'm doing lots of research and a little writing from the research. Talk about a snail's pace. I'll be 80 something before it gets done.

My brain is warped today. I woke up at 1:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Lying there, trying not to wake the hubby and the dog, I got dizzy. That is weired. But, if I passed out, I would be laying down, so I didn't worry about it too much. Almost giggled thinking about that part. Ty for your support and ideas. Hugs, VickieG

So many people get rejects at first.Do not let rejections discourage you cause you do have talent. It is a hobby with you and if you get lucky enough to get them published make sure your name is on them.I wish I could write like you.My mind works faster then my hands. My kids want my to publish a book about my life and I said it would take three books and they would probably put it under science fiction cuase it would be hard to believe.I hope I can some day.I have tried but it just doesn't feel right.I think I would have to dictate it and figure it out from there.Maybe some day.

It is hard to write about ones life.It is in three stages-birth to 18-marriage to raising the children-then midage to now.My life is so very personal and we all have so many secrets in our lives. If I ever wrote it,it would have to be the whole truth because I know many are scarred so badly when we are children and perhaps that would make children feel less alone,if they know someone else went through the same things.Perhaps someday.
