Guest guest
My nasal inflammation was so bad that saline sprays like Rhinaris has marginal effect for less than 10 minutes. But Vaseline inside the nose was effective only for low amounts of inflammations (=low salt in dinner). Max. Some would recommend saline spray in nose as another option. Maybe vaseline under nose but not in would be my suggestion. CE Grim MD
Guest guest
I used to assume HCTZ was the culprit too until in this Group Dr. Grim insisted so much on bad effects of SALT that I am gradually changing my mind J But in 2004 I complained about HCTZ to my doc and he changed it to Indapamide claiming that Indapamide was a diuretic with less side effects than HCTZ. He had added HCTZ due to my feet swelling by amlodipine. L Max. HCTZ caused me sinus/nasal congestion.Phyllis Most likely due to high salt/K ratio due to food at specific days. Max. Hmm nasal congest no likely related to HCTZ. Clonidine? CE Grim MD
Guest guest
Feet swelling on amlodipine is very common and may not respond to diuretics. Does respond better to adding ACE (lotrel has both) or ARB but forget name of combo. Guest guest
My PA recommended both vaseline and saline spray for nasal walls inflammation. Guest guest
Actually after my feet swelling, doc added Candesartan+HCTZ 16+12.5 mg (Atacand Plus) which after some 90 days he replaced with HCTZ+Triamterene 25+50mg (Dyazide) and cancelled due to nasal inflammation. Guest guest
I recently became a big fan (personally) of the nasal strips. Guest guest
I have hear alot of stories about c-pap and bi-pap solving many of life's issues. Yet can hardly - if ever - get it paid for. I lump it in with massage. One of those things that would help SO much and save so much in the long run, but can't ever get it approved. Guest guest
I've got a couple extra ones but can't even sell them on e-bay. Government bought two of them, thank-you very much! Government even bought me $300 battery pack so I can use it at my remote camp, PCP had no concern ordering it. > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; If I remember correctly, I found out that my nasal congestion was > > > > > > & gt; & gt; due to nasal walls inflammation because when I took K-citrate 25mEq > > > > > > & gt; & gt; at that time it reduced inflammation and I could sleep with smooth > > > > > > & gt; & gt; breaking. > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; Max. > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > & gt; > > > > > >
