and it's on sale for $6.99 at Amazon - I'd love to read someone that compliments

's techniques and I remember seeing her on Ophra as well!

will be looking for you updates and thank you for the tip !

Book recommendation

I have been reading a book called 'The 4-Day Win' by Martha Beck for

the last week or so. I really think Martha and must be 'sisters

in weight loss' their thoughts/ideas are so similar.

If you like to read and want to try some new techniques that totally

compliment what has been teaching us all via her podcasts, then

I highly recommend this book.

It's written in a very friendly tone and is very encouraging. I

especially like the fact that at the end of each chapter she gives you

a task (homework) to try for the next 4 days (hence the title). These

tasks really make you think about how you approach food and eating.

Like , she doesn't think any of us lack will power and thinks

that the key is to learn how to adjust our behaviour patterns and the

way we think about food. The book takes you through a series of tiny

steps to give that fresh approach which leads to lasting weight loss.

Sound familiar?

So far I have just been reading through the book and haven't tried any

of the homework. That's the next stage for me. I'll let you know how

I get on.

Regards

Liz

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the group and 's work.  I undertook her 3-hour hypnotherapy

yesterday and I've already seen results...it's fascinating.  I was a zombie for

about 5 hours after the hypnotherapy; felt like being drugged.

For instance, this morning I woke up and cooked an omlette in the same time I

normally take in the morning running around like a crazy man and end up leaving

with my coffee in hand only.  I took a walk after work last night before bed

when I haven't exercised in months.

I'm looking forward to this journey with all of you!

How interesting. I've always wondered what that would be like. Were

you listening to her podcasts before you had a session with her? It

is an amazing thing, isn't it?

Good luck on your first week and welcome to the group . It sounds

like you've started out the best way possible. Keep us posted.

Best. Joan

Hi Joan,

Nope, only found through an online search a month or so ago. Hadn't done

any work with her or her products before then.

Sitting down to my second morning omlette, which is truly astounding.

I was reading it this morning and thought exactly what everyone is saying here -

this is just like - I like the exercises - esp the one about taking the 10

minutes to just sit and get in touch with yourself - that one I have found is

very powerful for me.  I spend too much time being productive and while I'm

doing one task thinking about what my next one will me.  I really need to stop

and get in touch with myself.  Being to kind to oneself not just others is a

very good idea.

Hi ,

I would start with either Anatomy of the Spirit by Carolyn Myss

or Awakening Intuition by Mona Schulz. The latter is more

science and anatomically-based since she is a PhD neuroscientist and I think MD

too

and the former is a bit more psychologically-based as is her background.

Both books go through, chakra by chakra and the health concerns related

to each, delving into using this knowledge to increase body awareness,

energy awareness and intuition. Also, Intuitive Healer (I can't recall the

author

right now) is fantastic and she's got some great reference reading in the back.

These were the three that most peaked my interest when I was first

exploring this field since they were easy to read amidst all the studying of

Nat Med school.

Good luck,
