Guest guest
Hi all, I am 31 years old, and I was recently dx-ed with hyperaldosteronism. No mass was found, but one of my adrenals was described as " enlarged. " I'm currently on 150mg of Spironolactone and amlodipine. My BP is well-controlled with that. When my labs were done (pre-meds), my salt was within normal range, and my K was low. My BP was in the 220/110 range daily. Two questions: I'm recently married, and we are talking of trying for kids soon. How is this condition treated for pregnant women? 2nd question: Since starting these meds, I crave salty things like crazy. Pickles, olives... have even sipped olive juice. Is this normal? I thought it would go away after a few weeks of adjustment to the Spiro, but it has stayed 2 months. Thanks for your input! G
