Dear Friends, i enclose this email for several reasons. One, i wanted to illustrate the case that anyone of us can write an article, give it to the group for fact checking, give it to Steve Koob or others for editing and formatting, put a picture on it (for witness) and it can become a possibly useful piece for outreach. Two, i wanted to thank for the idea of using "dead women from the grave", although i prefer to think of Charnette as speaking to us as part of the Church Triumphant. We are all seeking to attest to the truth. The brilliance of 's idea is that the pro-contraception/abortion camp can not attack "dead" women (especially not African American dead women). I believe the Orlando Sentinel is picking this up

but if nothing else, maybe it would help in some small way in your Dioceses? Please use it if you think it will help.

Finally, you will see a thread below from Professor Helen Alvare, J.D., Mason U., who was just on Arroyo's World Over on EWTN. I would recommend everyone to try and watch that. She did an outstanding job of clarifying the current situation. You will see her comments to me below and i wanted to make sure that you all know about her petition "Women speak for themselves" which is about 7,000 women strong. She started the petition to counter Pelosi's question "Where are the Women?" (meaning where are the women who have a concern about birth control). Please sign it yourselves and get the people you know to sign it.

In Christ, rebecca

thanks Dr. Peck, It's terrific to hear from you. And THANKS for your piece in Linacre, I'm looking forward to reading it. It's an important piece of the argument, and I have every intention of pursuing it as we have been given an unparallelled opportunity.Perhaps you would be amenable to some speaking about thisin this or that public fora???Best,Helen Alvare(have you signed our letter at womenspeakforthemselves.com?)

Dear Helen, you did a GREAT job on EWTN!! It is such a help to have beautiful, articulate, authentically Catholic women like you representing our case.

I attach an article I am trying to get out there about how birth control is NOT women's health. My thoughts are that yes, we want to keep the argument about religious liberty, but why not defend that birth control is NOT women's health also?

Finally, our article in Linacre Quarterly is out this month, "Why OCPS Should Not Be Part of a Preventative Care Mandate" (Peck, R., Norris, C, Linacre Quarterly Feb 2012).

Thank you and Blessings,

Dr. Peck, M.D., CCD, Marquette NFP Instructor
