this is a great idea!!!

I think I'm going to move my exercise bike into the basement where I Tae-Bo

cuz it would be better to hop on it then walk it out. I can also use it as a

warm-up before doing any type of work-out.

I'm still trying to bike before bedtime but since the bike has been in the

wow that is incredible

Hey I remember when I first started the music was always in my head wherever

I went. Now the counting is LOL

For those having touble getting into the groove, try shorter work-outs

thru-out the day even if just a brisk walk (just after waking-up but be sure

to ease into it, before lunch, before dinner, before bedtime) and focus on

how you feel right after the shorter energizing work-out. All these work-outs

are cumulative and have even more of an effect than one exhausting long one

Barb - That's a great report! It shows that, no matter what, it's important

to keep hanging in there. You've been an inspiration to me through your

posts. I was having a difficult time getting back into Tae-bo, but last

week, on my way from work (I think it was Wednesday) I decided that when I

get home I am going to work out before I do anything (I got this from one of

the posts - I forget who said it, but she mentioned that she would workout

before she would do anything else) - and I did. Everyday I have been doing

SOMETHING - and mainly Tae-bo, but have been mixing it with other things. I

can't yet make it through the entire Basic, but when gets into the

kicks toward the end, I get on my Eclipse Trainer and keep moving until he

goes on to the next thing that I might be capable of doing. Yesterday I

missed, but today I am continuing. I already feel much better and I know

it's been only a week, but I do feel the difference.

Thanks for your example. I always read your posts because I think your

situation is the closest to mine. But everybody has great input. The water

thing was really good. I also realized that I wasn't drinking enough and I

think as a result I was basically dehydrated. Here in the Middle East it is

easy to STAY dehydrated because of the intensity of the heat. I have been

trying to drink a lot more water and feel an improvement since I have more

energy. And when one is working out regularly and sweating A LOT, one must

drink more...

Sorry for going on so much.

That's great, I'm so pleased that you're slowly finding out what's

working for you and really getting into it. As long as it's

something you keep coming back to it doesn't matter if you have

breaks - I'm finding those breaks are getting shorter because I WANT

to workout, sort of 'craving' it.

And don't forget that as one get older, it's much harder to lose that

weight. But look to what you have attained. I believe we will get there. You

come a LONG way from what I see in your pictures (before and after). It's

very commendable. The most important, though is how we feel, that we know we

are getting healthier....

Modify and listen to your body cuz what you can or cannot do in a work-out

varies from minute to minute. Remember too, you can press pause and walk it

out a bit (nobody is watching) and taking a small break can actually help

calorie burning as well as protect against strain

That's interesting that you say that, because I also find myself approaching

certain physical " jobs " as a workout and am more successful than if I
