Guest guest
Looking for help with these two area Colors - This spring my 4 yr old (then 3 yr old) daughter seemed to have colors mastered. She has regressed. Her answer to everything is " red " - usually not even looking at the object. Look for ideas and strategies to teach color discrimination from square one. The one issue is expressive, she can match colors well. She doesn't do as well with receptive, " Give me the blue block " , but better than expressive. Categories - She is good at matching, identical and non-identical. Trying to introduce categories. Her therapist is starting with animals and vechiles. Problem is that she doesn't seem to understand those labels. Considering if we should start with 3-d objects instead of pictures. Interested in any creative approaches.
