Provera, as in PremPro for menopause, or used alone for dysfunctional bleeding or to induce periods. is also carcinogenic. I don't understand why it still on the market and used widely. Fehring Professor Marquette University Depo-Provera Birth Control Might Raise Breast Cancer Risk Study finds doubled risk with recent use of the injectable contraceptive for a year WEDNESDAY, April 4 (HealthDay News) -- There appears to be a link between an injectable form of progestin-only birth control, best known as Depo-Provera, and an increased risk of breast cancer in young women, new research suggests.
