Guest guest
That's an interesting question, . I am interested in hearing the answer also. Hugs, VickieG Hepatitis C and Surgery Can someone tell me if it's true that having surgery can escalate your Hepatitis C? I have a friend who has recently become very ill with Hep C after having his gall bladder removed, and he insists that this surgery set it off. I am inclined to believe that he was probably getting more ill anyway and it happened to coincide with the surgery, and unfortunately he is not doing well at all. He is in liver failure, and they can't do a transplant because his kidneys are also failing. They can't do dialysis because of his liver. Could the surgery have possibly sped this up? Thanks.
