Will Statins stop Angina?

I'm hesitant to go on them but here are my numbers pleas egive advice:

Total Cholesterol

12/2/2005 = 267 and 12/21/2005 = 229

2004-218

2003- 206

HDL

12/2/2005 and 12/21/2005 = 46

2004-39

2003-44

Triglycerides

12/2/2005 = 224 and 12/21/2005 = 168

2004-250

2003-116

LDL

12/2/2005 = 176 and 12/21/2005 = 149

2004-129

2003-139

Range:

<100 Optimal

100-129 Near Optimal

130-159 Borderline High

160-189 High

>189 Very High

Total cholesterol ratio is 12/2/2005 = 5.8

12/21/2005 = 5.0

low risk is <4.5

and homocysteine,

12.2 (3.7 to 14)

Glucose is 108 H

normal range 65-106

Jon,

The side effects of statins are so bad, and in some cases irreversible,

that nobody should be taking it. There are better alternatives

available. Scroll back in the messages in this group and you will find

many of them

Personally, I had no effects from Zocor, but 2 weeks on Lipitor took me

4 months to get over the painful symptoms!
