Guest guest
susanah: in the days when i used to get flus and colds, these three things would always work 1 make a tea of garlic and clove. drink a cup every two hours 2 ys bee brand propolis paste. 1 tblspoon a day. if you are prone to colds, take this every day in the winter. you only need a bit if you are taking it every day. 3 microhydrin powder. one of these things always did the trick for me other things to try would be ascorbic acid to bowel tolerance also sage tea enemas also help. or anything to empty the bowels. flu Dear friends, I have been battling the flu for nearly a month. I have been going to a naturopath to no avail. My doctor's assistant told me that I have a type of flu that attacks my adrenal system. I am battling nausea and I run a low grade fever periodically and the shakes. Plus I have extreme fatigue and have been sleeping a lot. I have chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. I can't seem to shake this. Do you have any reccomendations? Also, my Mother is sickly. I don't want to go around her if I am still communicable. Would you please advise to me as to whether I can still give this flu to her. I appreciate any help that you can give me. I am sick of being sick!!! Guest guest
Have you tried Sambucol? That's the brand name of elderberry syrup upon which flu tests were run. A search should turn up the studies. I'm not at all certain it'll help since you've had it for a month. Like most remedies, it's most effective when taken at the onset of achiness. Guest guest
My son (19) had a type of flu that lingered and reoccured over a period of 2 years, using unsuccessfully, 3 courses of anti biotics, until I got him to drink Colloidal Silver. Guest guest
nah & List Flu and Cold virus(s) have only one way of entering our body's and that's via our unprotected ear canal ! The only way flu & cold virus(s) can reproduce it's self is to inject it's self into a single cell of our epidermis - and theres only one place they can do this and survive and flourish, that's the ear canal. I, and many others have used the flu & cold cure at: http://Community.webtv.net/Library-Info-/doc0 I put 3% hydrogen peroxide in my ears on a regular basis ( 2 to 3 times weekly ) for removing wax and any virus(s) that find their way into my ear canal ( keep your fingers out of your ears !!! ) No temperature, you don't have flu or cold !!! - Check for allergies. http://Community.webtv.net/Library-Info-/doc0 http://Community.webtv.net/Legal-Pages-/OURCONSTITUTIONAL =+ Ecclesiastes: 1. v. 9 Believing Will Get You There....God Bless

Guest guest
I cannot recommend Dr. Schultze's tinctures too highly! They are AMAZING! Every one of them! 1-800-HERB-DOC get the cold & flu tincture & if you can afford them, also get super echinacea & Supertonic. There is also sinus/lung tincture if either of them is involved. THEY WORK! I use these & constantly give them to others. 19 out of 20 people who try them buy them! jim onenewdove wrote: >Dear friends, >I have been battling the flu for nearly a month. I thought cold viruses replicated in the nose? Yes the germs can get into the nose through the tear ducts in the eyes...but the nose is where they replicate. Guest guest
Hi nah. I moderate a recipe list called HelpFoods I posted an egg nog custard recipe there. Really easy and yummy. There are a couple of recipes there that would work for the holidays, depending on how limited your diet is. Happy Holidays Donna flu Does anyone know of an internet site that has healthy dessert recipes? I probably won't feel like cooking, but you never know... Thanks Jim, for guiding this list this year. Guest guest
Personally, I would be afraid to advise someone whether to get a flu shot or not. However, I will say, at 48 I have had the flu many times. I also had measles, mumps, rubella, and whooping cough as a child, but that is another story. The flu is rough sometimes as I am prone to high fevers. Nevertheless, I always get over it and I am a healthy 48-year-old man. I did get the flu shot two times in the 80s as it was given free where I was working at the time. One of those year’s I got the flu anyway. That was the last considered taking the shot. I also do not let my children take the shot, but that is a personal decision that I have made. Anyway, just my take on the subject. The flu is not a death sentence. The flu is usually only an inconvenience that causes one to take time out and take care of his or her self. Jack Flu I don't know if this will ease any panic, but both my boys had the flu very early in the season (October or so). One ran a temp of 102-104 off and on for many days. They were both knocked out for about 10 days or so with aches, fever, sleeping all day, runny noses, etc. About 85 kids from their school were out. Needless to say, they are both doing fine now. It was the flu...not bubonic plague. If your child is generally healthy and not too young, the flu is not life threatening. As is often the case, we actually saw a little language spurt after the illness.... LHS

Guest guest
Its a tough, for or against the vaccine. I too 5 yrs ago took the vaccine along with my child, only to find ourselves sick for over a month after receiving the vaccine. But the concern over how to get thru the season. One try to reduce stress. Get plenty of rest, sunlight, exercise along with the use of herbs and vits. I also still had concerns and went to the DR to get an antiviral for the Flu, called Tramiflu. Its expensive, but I did notice the shelf life is 3 yrs. And you have to start taking it within the first 48 hrs of symptoms of the Flu. Someone asked " how to get a child to expectorate. " Gosh that's even difficult for adults with thick secretions. What I do like to use is one Tsp. of lemon juice and honey first thing in the mornings if my son, has congestion. I will cont. throughout the day,to have him drink lemon water, if he continues to have a thick secretions. As this really helps, and a great way to get some extra Vit C in his system. > We have no intention of getting the flu shot this year, but fully plan to > stock up on Triaminic, ibuprofen, acetamenophen, tissue with aloe, Sudafed, > etc..... > > By the way, anyone out there got any idea how to get these kids to actually > expectorate?
