He opens a couple, sees their angry ones about HepC. He doesn't give a care. He sees 500 responses and goes WOW! Mr. MJ, seriously concerned about what his fans think of him asks what they say. The program manager says 'they love ya dude, keep it up'. You see, it's like this. You know Stern don't you? Well...he got famous because of saying things people hate or love. And that generates responses. And that means a larger audience, and so on and so on. Do we really want to participate in the creation of another HS? Isn't it easier and less stressful to just ignore him? You cannot educate him and it isn't your job.........ric

Guest guest
Actually my letter to MJ was informative but not inflammatory. Although I did say to him, that I didn't really care for Pamela myself. (Can she really act?) I saw a portion of her new show and was really unimpressed. It was all about her breast size. But I did inform him of the ways of getting Hep C, ie: shared needles, risk to healthcare workers, tattoos, blood transfusions and so forth. Told him my story to a extent. And the fact that I have been married 24 years as of last Jan. My husband tests Neg to the Hep C virus. In fact Dean has to be tested every time he has a physical through the military. They test for the all hep viruses, he continues to test neg. And that was about it. I hope I get a answer to my email. If I do then I will post it here for all to read. Now on a personal note on Ms. , I think she has done more to harm the Hepatitis C fight than she has done to help it. She herself is completely ignorant about the diease. She has made outrageous statements about her chances of survival with the diease. I wish there was a way to contact her. But alas I could find no way of sending her fan mail. Oh well. I would really like to reach out to her and provide her with some real advice and information. Oh well, right now all we can do is inform the public with places like this group. We have to keep on getting the information out there any way we can. Guest guest
I personally am tired of ignoring the ignorant. That's why we, as people with HCV, are living in a country that doesn't generate any public awareness about this pandemic, that doesn't have a means to treat people , and lets 12,000 people a year die while awaiting liver transplantation. We really need to speak up. That's just my opinion, > My take on letters to these assholes....... > ok, the program director sits down, opens up his e-mail for > the day. We really need to speak up. That's just my opinion, and some of us do speak out, write letters, offer support, educate but it's always wise to pick and choose our battles. do you think I like mis-information? That program isn't about information or the truth. No one is ignoring the ignorant, if they have the desire to learn. I can't speak for MJ, but the program isn't about learning or education, merely entertainment. You'll get better results by writing a letter to the editor of the local paper saying what he said and why it's wrong. Turn him off.....ric
