Guest guest
Hi Janet, I believe this is a real development. This company is working with Homeland Security on some potential uses of this technology against terrorist attacks with bio-weapons. The web site I referred to just seemed to have the best description of what they were doing. There are many other references to this technology out there. I don't think they are claiming to cure Hep C. They just said they can filter the virus out of blood. As we know, the virus is also in the liver. So I'm thinking if it was possible to filter the blood that would lessen the work load on the liver and maybe help people stay healthy longer, until a real cure is developed that doesn't try to kill us as it cures. Just my opinion of course, I don't have money to invest, but ideas are free. ;-) Tina Re: blood scrubbing???? Hun, Somewhere in the archives we have discussed it before. This is another hoax. Virus, are too small to be caught in any kind of filter device. If you notice in the addy you will see that it has investors as a name. Just another way to get people to spend their money. And to pray upon a group of people that already are looking for a way to clear the dieases they have. I would be cautious of anyone proclaiming a cure for dieases that are not in the main stream info. This is a good place to start. http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/hepatitis/c/ Use the web to research everything about this and especially everything the doctor tells you. Many of them do not have extensive knowledge on Hep C. Good Luck, Tina [
Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am coming out of lurkdome to ask a question. Lar is home from Europe for 10 days and was telling me of his visit to his doctor in Germany that he had right before leaving to come home. Anyway, his doc wants to send him to Switzerland (I think that was the country) to have his blood scrubbed. Has anyone ever heard of blood scrubbing? His condition has worstened according to his docs both here and there, which I am worried about. They also tell me he has only about 4 years to live. I am not ready to accept this at all but it did come as quite a shock. The happy homecoming was tainted by the news. I spent all day today crying with him about it wondering about what kind of future we will have together. His docs tell him he HAS to think of me more as a friend right now which means absolutely no intimacy. He knows this hurts me but there isn't anything neither of us can do about it, especially because his worst fear is for me to get hepC from him. Lar's trip home is way too short. They are shipping him back overseas on Monday...I am not happy about that at all. I will be glad when he can come home for good.
